Major medical city to be built in Bahrain

A multimillion-dinar medical city is set to be built in Bahrain’s Southern Governorate, on donated land from His Majesty King Hamad.  There will be 264 beds, four centres of excellence and research, a college of medicine and student dorms, as well as accommodation for doctors. Mumtalakat launches sukuk

Bahrain’s investment firm, Mumtalakat, has raised US$600 million with its first dollar Islamic issuance.   Joint lead Managers in the deal are BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, MUFJG and Standard Chartered with Arab Banking Corporation and National Bank of Bahrain acting as co-lead managers.
