Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) invites tenders to remediate landfill site in preparation for the development of solar project.

The work involves the remediation of a 2 sq km landfill site at Askar to prepare the plot for the development of a solar project which will have a minimum capacity of 100 MW. The solar project itself will be a separate tender and will run parallel to the remediation tender. The projects will contribute to Bahrain’s commitment of bringing carbon emissions to net zero by 2060. To read more click here.
