Local vegetable production to increase by 20% by soil-less farming projects as part of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Initiative for Food Security.

A tender for the setting up of two soil-less farming projects has been floated by the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf. They will be located in Diraz and Hurat Aali as phase one, and six other sites distributed over four governorates in subsequent phases.
