Government contracts up 23% over the same period last year.

$1.6 billion worth of government contracts were awarded in the first quarter of 2021 representing an increase of 23% compared to the same time last year. The majority of the contracts were awarded to the oil and gas sector (48%), followed by the aviation sector and the construction and engineering sector. The Ministry of Health also saw a 140% year-on-year increase in contracts reflecting its commitment to combating the spread of COVID-19. To read more click here.
