An internet data centre will be launched in Bahrain by Chinese technology giant Tencent Holdings.

Tencent Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Chinese technology giant Tencent Holdings, will be operating by the end of 2021 and will be the company’s first in the MENA region tapping into Bahrain’s growing cloud market and it’s desire to become a regional cloud computing hub. The MoU signed with Bahrain’s Economic Development Board (EDB) will allow access to local and regional stakeholders including Mumtalakat.
