Major Road Project Pre-qualification Commences
Pre-qualification of companies who have bidded on the tender for the major road projects of the North Manama Causeway Phase-2 and Busaiteen Link Project have begun. The projects will be funded by the Saudi Fund for Development. For more information on the tender you can find it here.

Bahrain Transport Restructure Project – French firm bids low
French owned, Egis Group International, has bid the lowest amount out of the 5 bids received so far for the tender of providing consultancy services to improve Bahrain’s transport infrastructure. The tender opened today 20 October and is accepting bids here.
Bahrain National Gas Expansion Company (BNGEC) signs $98.7 million deal
BNGEC has signed a $98.7 million deal with JGC Gulf International, a subsidiary of Japan Gas Corporation (JGC), Japan, to to construct an additional storage and pipeline facility. To read more click here.

Canadian company, SNC Lavelin, have been awarded a major project by Bahrain’s Electricity & Water Authority to supervise the design and construction of the relocation of underground transmission and distribution cabling networks and the setting up of numerous 11 kV substations in Bahrain.
