High Speed Fiber Optic Network for Bahrain

$940m Electricity Deal for Bahrain

As part of a GSS support plan for Bahrain, due to being hit hard by low oil prices, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has signed a deal with Bahrain to develop electricity networks in Bahrain. To read more click here.

Bahrain Airport Expansion Project Commences

Work on the $1.1 billion expansion commenced this week.  The expansion will increase the airports capacity by four times, up to 14 million passengers per year.  To read more click here.

Bahrain-Saudi causeway expansion

Work will commence within 6 months on the expansion of the causeway which connects Saudi and Bahrain.  The number of lanes is expecting to increase from 17 to 45 providing much needed higher capacity.  To read more click here.

Bahrain awards contracts on $655m gas terminal

The contracts to develop a receiving and regasification terminal in Bahrain have been awarded to a consortium of companies by Nogaholding, Bahrain’s Oil and Gas Authority.  The consortium is made up of Teekay LNG Partners, Samsung C&T and Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC). To read more click here.
