Drilling to start in 2022 on the shale oilfield discovered in Bahrain in 2018.

Bahrain’s Khaleej al-Bahrain field is the biggest oil and gas field find since 1932. Discovered in 2018 state-owned Tatweer Petroleum plans to drill evaluation wells which will assist in attracting international investors and oil firms to develop the field using hydraulic fracturing or fracking.
