The overall dollar value of the contracts awarded last year is slightly lower than 2019 figures but still reflect some good figures despite the effects of COVD-19 on the economy. Of the 1,688 tenders awarded in 2020, the majority in terms of value went to the oil sector with 228 tenders worth $1.6bn, followed by the oil and construction sector worth $32bn, representing 317 tenders.
