Saudi causeway re-opening will give Bahrain a much needed economic boost.

King Fahd Causeway is set to re-open on 31 March 2021 after a drop in COVID cases. Saudi citizens will also be able to travel by air when the suspension of international flights will also be lifted on the same day. During pre-pandemic times, 88% of the 11 million tourists to Bahrain came via the Causeway and the reopening is expected to add approximately US$2.9 billion to Bahrain’s economy.
