The world’s first eCheque system is launched in Bahrain.

Benefit Company, a major electronic financial transaction services firm in Bahrain, will implement the world’s first electronic cheque system which will cater for individuals and corporate customers in conjunction with the Central Bank of Bahrain. The integrated electronic cheque system is available on smartphone apps via BenefitPay (for individuals) and eCheque App (for corporates), removing the need to visit the bank and thus moving towards a cashless society.
