Maritime oil blocks to be opened to international firms for oil and gas exploration.

Major international firms will be able to sign exploration and production sharing agreements in early 2021 after Tatweer Petroleum completed extensive surveys and identified areas that may contain oil and gas. Italian international oil company, Eni, has already signed and will start drilling in block No. 1 next year. They will be the first to drill in the Middle East after activities stopped due to the global pandemic. To read more click here.
