Bahrain awards tenders worth $2.3bn

Bahrain has seen an increase of 140% of awarded tenders from 2003 to 2013.  In 2013, 2,028 tenders worth BD900 million ($2.3 billion) were awarded compared to 1,342 tenders worth BD367 million in 2003. To read more click here.

Major medical city to be built in Bahrain

A multimillion-dinar medical city is set to be built in Bahrain’s Southern Governorate, on donated land from His Majesty King Hamad.  There will be 264 beds, four centres of excellence and research, a college of medicine and student dorms, as well as accommodation for doctors.
